The book is based on an interdisciplinary workshop

"System Engineering" that took place in Bielefeld

August 2011. Participants were mainly system-safety
engineers, software engineers, and sociologist.
Included is a short essay by sociologist Stefan
Strohschneider (from the FSU Jena).
The book is written in English; a translation to German
will likely never happen.
